We almost met freshman year in a humanities class.

But we actually met senior year on spring break - we had both signed up for a leadership development trip that was hosted in Joshua Tree National Park and at the Grand Canyon. If you discover you like someone after neither of you has showered for a week, that's a good sign!

After that trip, we became fast friends and started dating in the fall. In January 2020, Daniel got down on one knee to ask the question after planning a hike at the waterfall where we had our first date!
